Birthright Israel

Applications for winter 2009-10 are now open!

We are taking out 2 groups:

Trip 1+2: 20 to 26 year-olds (Students, Non-Students, Young Professional, Recent Graduates, Postgraduates)

To sign-up, simply drop an email to Royi Gutkin at UK birthright for details of the application process. And if you have any queries don't hesitate to be in touch.

All our programmes are aimed at providing people with the chance to experience and to understand more about the rich culture and history of Israel and the Jewish people.

This exciting trip offers 20 to 26 year-old Jews an inspiring free ten day educational trip to Israel. It is open to those who have not been on an organised programme in Israel (for more information on how 'organised programme' is defined please contact the UK Taglit-Birthright Israel coordinator).

Our groups of forty participants tour all over Israel from the Golan in the North to the Negev in the South. They visit Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Masada, Tsfat, the Dead Sea and many other places of interest. Return flights, 2 meals a day, local transportation, accommodation, programme fees and touring costs are all included. The programme is carefully coordinated by our team of dedicated tour guides, educators and Madrichim (group leaders). We are sure that you return to the UK having had one of the most memorable experiences of your life.

Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. We hope to see you on our programmes in the future.

Taglit-Birthright Israel is the most extensive philanthropic Jewish outreach programme ever to target Jewish young adults. Philanthropists Charles R. Bronfman and Michael H. Steinhardt created this project to send thousands of young Jewish adults from all over the world to Israel as a gift in order to diminish the growing division between Israel and Jewish communities around the world; to strengthen the sense of solidarity between Israeli youth and Jewish communities around the world; to increase the number of return visits to Israel; and to promote the role of Israel as a powerful resource in Jewish learning.

Taglit-Birthright Israel believes that it is every Jewish person's birthright to visit Israel. To date, over 200,000 young adults have travelled to Israel on the programme.
