UJIA JAMS

UJIA JAMS is a project of the UJIA Jewish Life Education Centre supporting young people in leading Jewish activities in mainstream secondary schools.

The project works with over 25 schools throughout the UK, and is regularly developing resources and programmes for more than 1000 pupils, enabling them to learn and teach each other about a wide range of Jewish topics.

JAMS provides speakers from across the Jewish community who are keen to facilitate learning sessions with young people.

Additionally, the project provides training and development opportunities for Jewish Society (J-soc) chairs and committee members, ensuring they have the skills and capabilities to provide for their fellow pupils today and go on to be involved communal leaders in the future.

Another service that the project provides is the Jewish Student Survival Guide - a fantastic resource for prospective students with information on every J-soc in the country, local communities, availability of Kosher food and the accommodation on offer as well as useful tips for finances, an explanation of the UJS (The Union of Jewish Students) system and a comprehensive A-Z guide of being a university student, from Freshers' Week to Finals.
