Members of Ealing United and Ealing Liberal Synagogues raised £23,000 for UJIA to help build a new pluralistic high school in northern Israel. Over 50 guests attended the community's annual dinner which included a lecture by guest speaker, Professor Asher Susser, about the future of Israel in the Middle East of the 21st Century.

Barry Shrage, the US Jewish leader who raised $1 billion, shared his vision for community on his first visit to the UK, hosted by UJIA and the Jewish Leadership Council. Senior figures from across the community, both young and old, joined Mr Shrage to learn from his experiences and help shape a new vision for the UK Jewish community.

Young professionals met local lay leaders to launch a new programme to create the next generation of leaders for Manchester's Jewish community.

Over 80 leading figures from the Jewish community came together to honour the lifetime achievement of UJIA president, Brian Kerner, on the occasion of his 75th birthday.
