On Wednesday 14th January, Adam Science Foundation alumnus Elliott Tucker opened his studio for a masterclass on the media. Elliott is a Jewish filmmaker and artist residing in London. His work has evolved from extensive collaborations across the Jewish community, from being a Jewish youth worker for orthodox and reform synagogues at different times to making films for many Jewish charities, including Limmud, the LJCC and the Jewish Museum.
Elliott is currently the artist in residence at the Movieum and our session started with an exclusive after hours tour including an opportunity for some alumni to get hands on with some real light sabers!
The group then discussed the media and their reactions to it during the current Gaza crisis. Elliott then showed the group some clips from two of his films. His film "" particularly resonated with the group, especially a scene at a Jewish Care home with a group of Jewish elderly ladies discussing their childhood in the East End.
This session was the second in this year's Masterclasses exclusively for Alumni. Further sessions include a trip to Beth Shalom. For more information please click here.
