UJIA Adam Science Foundation Launch 2009-10

The UJIA Adam Science Foundation Leadership Programme welcomed a new cohort of participants to its Camden Town Head Office last night.

The 12 participants met various people involved in the foundation and UJIA, including all the founders and original trustees of the Adam Science Foundation. Avi Goldberg, Chair of the Trustees of the Adam Science Foundation spoke of Adam Science's particular genius in creating programmes and opportunities for young professionals.

His sentiments were echoed by UJIA Trustee James Libson and UJIA Chief Executive Douglas Krikler who spoke of the privilege of being part of the programme and its place as the "jewel in the crown" of leadership opportunities for the Anglo Jewish community.

The programme will see the 12 participants meeting high level professionals and lay leaders, engaging with the critical issues facing the community and creating a group project as well as an international seminar in Boston. Nicky Goldman, UJIA's Leadership Development Director said: "UJIA invests in young people and education and the future leadership of our community. This programme and this evening's launch show this in action. This year's group is incredibly talented and we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead."

The UJIA Adam Science Foundation Leadership Programme is a year-long, part-time leadership development programme for people in their mid to late twenties. Each year, the ASFLP recruits 12 people from a diverse range of careers, religious affiliations and backgrounds, with the aim of helping them to acquire the skills and experience they need to become leaders in the Jewish community.
