On Mitzvah Day everyone can make their mark on the world. Make sure Sunday 15 November is in your diary and give your time, not money!
Projects are run by Mitzvah Day Partners; synagogues, schools, youth movements, communities, Jewish societies and other student groups.
UJIA is proud to be a main partner in this event, and has committed to participate in the day.
UJIA will be volunteering at Kentish Town Farm doing a range of activities to help with the up keep of the farm and support them with some new areas they are building.
We are looking for staff to join us for an hour or two between 10:30 -- 3pm.
You are welcome to bring friends or family along, however, unfortunately children under 8 cannot volunteer, and some of the more heavy duty maintenance is not appropriate for children. Those of you keen to do some serious building should join the afternoon slot - when the real action takes place!
Everyone is welcome to join in on Mitzvah Day, so come and get involved!
If you are available and willing to give an hour of your time on Mitzah Day please contact David Brown to let him know - we will arrange a time that best suits you!
Mitzvah Day was founded in 2005 in the UK with founding partner, the JCC for London based on Big Sunday in Los Angeles. Now an independent charity, Mitzvah Day UK encourages the practice of tzedek (righteousness), tikkun olam (repairing the world) and gemilut chasadim (acts of loving kindness).
