JAMS Speaker of the Term: Rabbi Andrew Shaw

UJIA JAMS is pleased to announce that Rabbi Andrew Shaw has been voted our latest Speaker of the Term (spring 2010). Rabbi Shaw is Executive Director of Tribe, the United Synagogue's youth department, and has spoken to students across the country on a range of topics including the Holocaust and "Who is a Jew?"

He has been instrumental in the development and progression of Tribe over the past seven years, bringing Jewish activities to anyone aged 0 - 30. He often speaks to students all over the country and thoroughly enjoyed his first few appearances in conjunction with UJIA JAMS. "I always enjoy engaging with young Jewish minds about topical Jewish issues," said Rabbi Shaw. "Our relationship with JAMS fits in with Tribe's ideology which aims to provide all young Jews with a meaningful Jewish education. Tribe hopes to continue speaking to Jewish students in mainstream schools."
