This summer has been the most successful so far for UJIA Israel Experience, taking 1,318 16 year-olds on educational tours to Israel - more than ever before.
To ensure that no one misses out on this life-changing experience, UJIA has established a Bursary Fund to enable families with challenging financial circumstances to send their children on Israel Tour and, in 2010, one in every four participants were awarded bursaries totalling £269,000.
From 16 August to 2 September, UJIA's team of staff and volunteers will be manning the phones for the 2010 Israel Tour Telethon to raise money for the Bursary Fund. This fund is crucial to ensure that every person, regardless of their financial situation, has the same opportunity to his or her rite of passage.
