Manchester UJIA gets funny for money

Three top comedians, Mark Maier, Paul Tonkinson and Adam Bloom, entertained over 200 guests at the charity's annual AMBA comedy evening. The event held on Monday 18 July was a complete sell-out. Nici Wertheim UJIA AMBA Chair commented, "It was an amazingly funny night - the room was buzzing, the fish and chips was yummy, the comedians were hilarious and we managed to raise over £11,000 - a huge credit to a fantastic committee of friends"

The three professional comedians took time out of their demanding touring schedules to take to the stage for UJIA.

Guests helped UJIA AMBA continue their support for UJIA's work supporting young people in Israel and the UK, in particular its support for the After-School Enrichment Programme in the Galil, northern Israel. The programme provides tuition outside regular school hours for underprivileged children to boost academic achievement and build self-esteem.
