Ten members of South Hampstead Synagogue's Ethiopian Bar/Bat Mitzvah Club "Shecoyach" gave up their Sunday to pack shopping bags in Marks and Spencer's in Temple Fortune. They raised awareness about Ethiopian Jewry in Israel, as well as £976 to help their Ethiopian 'twins', Lov and Takala, integrate into Israeli society.

10 participants graduated the year long leadership programme and pledged their support back to the community.

The UJIA Adam Science Foundation Leadership Programme, which has been described as the 'jewel in the crown' of leadership opportunities for the Anglo Jewish Community, held its 2008-09 graduation at UJIA's new Camden offices.

UJIA Trustees, Stakeholders, Mentors of the Programme and Adam Science Alumni also attended to share in the celebrations.
