Youth Futures is a major initiative dedicated to helping school children that are classified as "at risk".
The programme assigns a personal mentor to a child who helps him/her access social, welfare and educational programmes in the region.
Each mentor sees the child twice a week in an individual and a group setting. Additionally, the mentor has access to funds to provide additional services on a per needs basis.
Youth Futures has the potential to be the most significant programme in the country to assist school age children in completing their education.
The mentors are fully trained professionals for whom this is a full time career choice. It is widely supported by local authorities and national government.
UJIA will be the major Diaspora supporter in our Galil regions of Youth Futures.
