UJIA sees supporting innovative educational projects in the young adult community as of vital importance for the long-term health of the community. After completing university, young adults often struggle to find their place in the community and so we support those programmes that demonstrate real success in this field.
UJIA is the key funder of both Limmud and the Hebrew University's Melton Mini School. We also support key synagogual initiatives in this area from across the community as well as the re-launched London School of Jewish Studies.
In addition to funding, our Informal Jewish Education staff offer training, coaching, innovative ideas and specially designed programmes to raise the educational quality of provision in this field. We also fund the Birthright Israel programme for young adults (21-25) who have never participated in an educational programme in Israel.
