Initial Teacher Training

UJIA is a major funder of teacher training for day and supplementary schools across the community.

The UK is one of few Jewish communities in the world that is training sufficient numbers of new teachers for the community's day schools, even as the number of Jewish students continues to grow.

We work with the United Synagogue's Jewish Teacher Training Partnership and the Leo Baeck College's Education Department to implement this essential work. We also develop and maintain relationships with newly-trained teachers and follow their progress in the schools.
