Small Communities

As part of our commitment to being at the "Heart of Jewish Life," even in remote parts of the UK, we have recently assumed full financial responsibility for the Office for Small Communities.

This project provides religious, cultural and educational support for small communities with less than 100 members throughout the UK. Elkan Levy and Reverend Malcolm Weisman travel the length and breadth of the country meeting with individuals, families and small clusters of Jews keeping them in touch with the Jewish community in meaningful and tangible ways.

The Office for Small Communities also runs regular Shabbat programmes in individual communities and seminars for groups of communities throughout the year.
