Douglas Krikler joined UJIA in October 2004 as Vice Chairman, and has been Chief Executive since April 2005. He also holds a number of positions in a lay capacity within various communal bodies.
He is a graduate of the Habonim Dror Youth Movement and spent his gap year in Israel at the Institute for Youth Leaders from Abroad.
He has a Masters degree in Middle East Area Studies from the London University School of Oriental and African Studies and a degree in Modern Arabic Studies from the University of Leeds.
He spent a year at Ain Shams University in Cairo and speaks Hebrew, Arabic and French. He is married and has three children.
