Since summer 2005 Young UJIA has become a new avenue for young Jewish people to engage within the community and make a difference to Jewish lives in both Israel and the UK. We provide a place for all young Jewish people to have their say and get involved. From networking, media, the world of business, property, social and sport, Young UJIA has a place for everyone.
How do I become a UJIA Young Patron?
A donation of £500 a year allows you to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people in Israel and the UK. This can be done as a one off payment or through a Direct Debit scheme of just over £40 a month.
Where does my money go?
Our strategy is designed to help guarantee a sustainable and positive future for the people of the Galil in northern Israel and the Jewish community of the UK.
In the UK, your donation will help fund Jewish Youth Movements, a new Jewish curriculum in schools and UJIA Israel Experience summer tours, creating a 'Living Bridge' between our community and Israel.
In Israel, your donation will help fund major initiatives for the development of the Galil, strengthening this beautiful but vulnerable part of the country through the upgrading of schools, vocational training schemes and community development programmes.
What can I expect as a UJIA Young Patron?
Networking opportunities: specialised events giving you the chance to meet and make contacts with Trustees and fellow UJIA Young Patrons as well as current UJIA Patrons. These include fundraising business lunches hosted by eminent speakers, the Annual Patrons Dinner and the Annual Appeal Event. Last year's UJIA Patrons Dinner was hosted by Mr. David Miliband MP at the Foregin Office -and we have enjoyed guest speakers ranging from President Shimon Peres to Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Updates: regular email communication updating you on UJIA Young Patron activity and forthcoming events.
Recognition: As a UJIA Young Patron we would like you to know from the outset how valued you are; however the level of your involvement is at your own discretion. You can choose to be involved in every element of Young UJIA or donate your gift and remain anonymous.
